Our Heritage Project

Community work and cultural heritage

Supporting participation, wellbeing and the preservation of Eritrean heritage.

Supporting participation, wellbeing and heritage

We organise programmes for children, young people, adults and families. A central focus of our work is supporting community integration, encouraging participation in wider society and building positive relationships with Birmingham's diverse communities.

We also provide early support, education and signposting relating to antisocial behaviour, drug and alcohol misuse, social isolation and mental health concerns. Where specialist help is required, we seek to work with appropriate local charities, community organisations and public services.

Through support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we have delivered activities that celebrate, preserve and share Eritrean cultural heritage, including traditional cooking, heritage sewing, visits to heritage sites, and traditional music and musical instrument activities for young people.
